Albatravel provides access to bookable travel-related activities, attractions, tours, experiences and other services displayed on the website.
The exact characteristics of each service are described on the relevant experience page.
Depending on the experience, a service may be provided directly by Albatravel or by an identified third-party provider.
Where a third-party provider operates the experience, additional terms or operational rules supplied by that provider may apply.
3. Experience Information
We aim to present accurate and up-to-date information concerning each experience.
The experience page may include information such as description, inclusions and exclusions, duration, availability, meeting point, participation requirements, accessibility information, cancellation conditions and other operational details.
You should review all information displayed on the relevant experience page before completing your booking.
Information specific to an experience forms an important part of the conditions applicable to that booking.
4. Making a Booking
To make a booking, you must provide the information requested during checkout accurately and completely.
You are responsible for checking the selected:
- experience;
- date and time;
- number and type of participants;
- contact information;
- any optional services or selections;
- final price;
before confirming the purchase.
A booking is considered confirmed only when the website or booking system issues a valid booking confirmation, voucher or equivalent confirmation message.
An acknowledgement that a request has been received does not necessarily constitute final confirmation where further confirmation is expressly required.
5. Prices
The applicable price is the price displayed during the booking process before the order is confirmed.
Prices may depend on the date, number or type of participants, selected options, currency or other characteristics of the experience.
Any taxes or mandatory charges included or added during checkout will be displayed according to the applicable booking flow.
Optional costs not included in the booking price should be identified on the experience page where relevant.
6. Payment
Available payment methods are shown during checkout.
Payment may be processed by authorised third-party payment service providers.
By submitting payment information, you confirm that you are authorised to use the selected payment method and that the information supplied is correct.
A booking may be refused or cancelled where payment cannot be authorised or completed.
7. Booking Confirmation and Voucher
After a successful booking, you will receive the confirmation or voucher required for the experience through the channel indicated during checkout.
You are responsible for reviewing the confirmation promptly and notifying us if the booking information appears incorrect.
The experience page or voucher may contain important operational instructions, including meeting point details, arrival time or documents required for participation.
8. Customer Responsibilities
You are responsible for ensuring that all information provided during the booking process is correct.
You must also ensure that you and the other participants included in the booking comply with the requirements stated on the experience page or booking confirmation.
These may include age, health, mobility, clothing, identification, driving licence or other participation requirements where relevant to the specific experience.
You are responsible for arriving at the indicated meeting point at the required time.
9. Changes Requested by the Customer
If you wish to change a confirmed booking, contact us using the contact details provided on the website.
Whether a change is possible may depend on availability, the relevant experience and the conditions applicable to the booking.
A requested change is not confirmed until you receive written or electronic confirmation of the updated booking.
Any difference in price or applicable fee will be communicated where relevant before the modification is finalised.
10. Cancellation by the Customer
Cancellation conditions may differ from one experience to another.
The cancellation policy displayed on the individual experience page and/or during the booking process is the specific policy applicable to that booking.
You should review those conditions before completing your purchase.
General information is also available in our Cancellation Policy.
Where a refund is due, it will be processed according to the applicable booking conditions and payment method, subject to any mandatory rights available under applicable law.
11. Late Arrival and No-Show
Experiences may require participants to arrive at a specified time and location.
Late arrival may result in reduced participation or inability to join an activity, particularly where the experience operates according to a fixed schedule.
Eligibility for a refund in such circumstances will depend on the specific cancellation and no-show conditions applicable to the experience and any mandatory legal rights.
12. Changes or Cancellation by the Provider
An experience may occasionally need to be modified, rescheduled or cancelled for operational, safety, weather-related or other reasons outside the customer's control.
Where this occurs, we or the relevant provider will communicate the available options where reasonably possible.
Depending on the circumstances and the applicable booking conditions, these may include an alternative date, an alternative service or a refund.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer law.
13. Weather and External Conditions
Some experiences are dependent on weather, sea conditions, transport, access restrictions, local regulations or other external circumstances.
Where an activity is weather-dependent, the applicable experience page and provider conditions should be reviewed carefully.
Poor weather does not automatically entitle a customer to cancel outside the applicable cancellation conditions unless otherwise stated or required by law.
14. Third-Party Providers
Where an experience is operated by a third party, that provider is responsible for the proper performance of the services it is contractually required to provide, subject to the role Albatravel assumes in the relevant transaction and applicable law.
Operational rules of the provider may apply in addition to these Terms.
Nothing in this section excludes responsibility that Albatravel cannot lawfully exclude.
15. Liability
Albatravel does not exclude or limit liability where doing so would be prohibited by applicable law.
Subject to mandatory legal rights, Albatravel is not responsible for loss caused exclusively by circumstances outside its reasonable control or by a customer's failure to comply with the instructions, restrictions or requirements applicable to an experience.
Nothing in these Terms affects statutory consumer rights that cannot be waived or restricted by contract.
16. Force Majeure and Events Outside Reasonable Control
The performance of an experience may be affected by events outside the reasonable control of Albatravel or the experience provider.
Depending on the circumstances, such events may include severe weather, natural disasters, strikes, transport disruption, government restrictions, public health measures, security events or closure of attractions and infrastructure.
Where such circumstances affect a booking, the available remedies will depend on applicable law and the specific contractual conditions of the service.
